Daikin Rooftop units are the solution for commercial spaces, large warehouses and industrial plants that have a complex structure such as limited space, development on multiple floors and different environments.

In fact, these units offer the possibility of flexibly connecting the ducts (with high prevalence values ​​up to 800 Pa) to optimize the space for installation while the extraction damper and the fan ensure the correct pressure balance and optimal air circulation inside the building. Maximum comfort is guaranteed by the high air quality (thanks to the integrated external air supply and the numerous air filtration options), by the high-efficiency EC plug fans that do not require maintenance (reducing system downtime) and by the Scroll compressor which, together with the Free Cooling function, ensures high-efficiency operation. Finally, the clogged filter alarm signals the need to clean the filter to ensure optimal operation and a reduction in energy consumption.

Daikin rooftops are available in the standard Made-To-Stock (MTS) version and in the Made-To-Order (MTO) version on request. The Made-To-Stock range includes 48 predefined units, with extended capacity up to 190 kW and fast delivery, available in the basic, 2-damper FC2S and 3-damper FC3S versions (the latter also provides thermodynamic heat recovery). The Made-To-Order range includes endless units (contact us for more information), with extended capacity up to 190 kW and longer delivery times, available in the basic, 2-damper FC2S, 3-damper FC3S (with thermodynamic heat recovery) and 4-damper FC4S (with ultra-high efficiency plate heat exchanger) versions.

Specifically, each version has different features (the first 3 are MTS while the last is MTO):

- the basic version UATYA-BBAY1 is characterized by high "plug and play" installation flexibility, simplified maintenance and a high efficiency and reliability Scroll compressor;
- the version with 2 dampers (FC2S) with integrated external air UATYA-BFC2Y1, in addition to having the features of the basic one, guarantees the Free Cooling function with external air supply up to 100% and significant energy savings by using the external renewal air to cool the building;
- the version with 3 dampers (FC3S) with external air and integrated extraction UATYA-BFC3Y1, in addition to having the same features as the previous one, is equipped with an integrated extraction damper (to eliminate excess overpressure in the building and to ensure optimised air circulation in large buildings) and guarantees thermodynamic heat recovery (for energy savings thanks to the recovery of heat lost through the external heat exchanger);
- the version with 4 dampers (FC4S) with external air and integrated extraction with plate heat recovery system UATYA-BRS4, in addition to having the same features as the previous one, is equipped with a plate heat exchanger with very high efficiency counter-flow geometry (for recovery of heat lost from the return air up to 58%), bypass damper (for operation with plate heat exchange or Free Cooling) and additional thermodynamic heat recovery (available for models up to 50 kW).

All versions, which use the environmentally friendly R32 refrigerant, have 25 mm double-wall panels for high thermal and acoustic insulation and are equipped with Inverter compressors (available on models up to 120 kW) to ensure maximum seasonal efficiency all year round. The equipment is completed by the intuitive full-color touch screen display, integrated connectivity with the Daikin Intelligent Touch Manager BMS (via BACnet protocol) or with third-party BMS systems (via BACnet TCP/IP Ethernet port and Modbus TCP/IP or 3-wire Modbus port on RS485), selection software and BIM objects (MTS units are available in Revit, IFC, ArchiCad and AutoCAD file formats while MTO units are only available in Revit format). Other integrated standard features include: ISO Coarse 75% (G4) filter (MTS units only), clogged filter alarm, coil protection mesh on the external heat exchanger and condensate collection tray.
